Not in network with your plan?
Call or text us. We will walk you through self-pay options and, where your plan allows, documentation you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
Free counseling through our intern program
Sessions with our graduate student intern are offered at no charge, with weekly supervision from a licensed clinician, in person in Johnston or virtually across Rhode Island. Availability changes throughout the year, so contact us to ask about current openings.
Five questions to ask your insurer
Call the member services number on the back of your card. We are happy to do this for you, but it helps to know the answers yourself.
Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?
What is my copay or coinsurance for therapy?
Do I have a deductible, and how much of it have I met this year?
Are telehealth (video) sessions covered the same as in-person?
Is a referral or prior authorization required?
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate. Under the federal No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or choose not to use insurance have the right to receive a written estimate of expected charges for services before their appointment. Ask us for a Good Faith Estimate at any time, or visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
We will check your benefits with you.
