In CBT, we work together to identify automatic thoughts and the beliefs behind them, then test those beliefs with evidence and experiments. You will learn to catch thinking traps like catastrophizing and all-or-nothing thinking and respond to them differently.
CBT is collaborative and transparent. We set goals, track progress, and practice skills between sessions. It is effective for anxiety, depression, stress, and many of the concerns our Rhode Island clients bring to us, and it adapts well to teens and children.

Many clients see meaningful change within 8 to 16 sessions, though this varies. We review progress regularly and adjust together.
